Pamela Wilson to serve as Director for Foundation Relations
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The nonprofit National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) today announces the appointment of Pamela Wilson as the new Director for Foundation Relations. In her new role she will provide leadership and direction for NPCA’s Foundations Program generating critical support for the organization’s work across the country.
“Pam brings the skills, experience and vision needed to take NPCA’s Foundations Program to the next level. Her creative and collaborative style, combined with her approach to partnering with program staff and playing a strong external role, will be extremely valuable,” said Vanessa Andrews, Acting Vice President for Development at the National Parks Conservation Association.
Pam has 25 years of professional experience in the non-profit sector leading fundraising strategy, organizational development and communications. Over the last eight years, she served as the Director for Corporate and Foundation Relations at Chesapeake Bay Foundation where she led the corporate foundations team raising several million annually for the organization. Previously she worked for the Maryland Federation of Art as the Executive Director and also served as an independent contractor working with non-profit agencies to provide project fundraising research and create development plans.
“Environmentally, these are exciting and challenging times; we are on the cusp of transformational change. As we approach the centennial of the National Park Service in 2016, I am thrilled to be joining NPCA’s effort to ensure our national parks are preserved and protected in the future,” said Pamela Wilson.
