Please join the National Parks Conservation Association to celebrate the Buffalo National River at a fantastic local gala on Friday, October 23 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
This event will recognize the invaluable role the Buffalo National River plays in the social and economic sustainability of the unique Ozark Region. Dine on locally sourced food by chef Jerrmy Gawthorpe of Greenhouse Grille, bid on regional crafts and recreational river experiences, dance to the music of Jazzper and Bill Dollar and Loose Change, and help us honor Ken Smith, author of the Buffalo River Handbook and developer of the Buffalo River Trail system.
A lively pre-gala lobby party from 5 - 7 p.m. includes music, book signings, river books and maps, the history of the Buffalo National River, and information on how you can continue to help protect and honor it.
