My park story began with a need to see something new. My girlfriend and I thought it would be wonderful if we could see a place we have never visited before, and seeing as I have never had the opportunity to see the Redwoods we thought it would be proper to go to Fort Bragg. On our trip we had the goal to get lost in the redwoods which proved to be one of the most magical experiences I have had to date; nothing explains the feeling of being surrounded by trees both around you and above you, it was as if the trees where giving us a big hug. As we went deeper into the forest we felt our worries fall away, we laughed, we danced, we relaxed. The beautiful thing about enjoying nature is it rejuvenates your soul, after this trip we felt so refreshed! I truly suggest taking the time to enjoy the natural beauty of the world; we live on such a gorgeous planet, sometimes we get lost in the ebb and flow of the world, so get back to your roots by visiting a park! #SFSU
Sincerely,
Redwood National & State Parks
Redwood National and State Parks protect a primeval landscape where the world’s tallest living organisms, towering coast redwoods, thrive. Visitors can feel small as they stroll in the shadows of these enormous trees and explore rocky undeveloped beaches, fern studded canyons, open prairie, oak woodlands, and fog-filled river valleys. These diverse habitats support myriad wildlife and plants, including several rare species.
