Greetings from Glacier National Park

As I stared across Avalanche Lake at the glacial moraine that lay beyond, I was astounded by the serenity and beauty of it all.

When I arrived at Glacier National Park, I faced the upcoming week like yet another task that I had to complete. Little did I know that I would forge an unbreakable bond with the friends I hiked miles and swatted at mosquitos with, witness breathtaking snow-dotted mountains that scraped the skies, splash through ice cold river water, and come face to face with wildlife ranging from birds and toads to bears and moose.

I’ve always lived my life in a rush. Having spent my entire life in Silicon Valley, I’m constantly swamped by deadline after deadline; when I can finally catch a break, enjoying nature is the last thing on my mind.

After spending a week at Glacier National Park, I’ve come to revere the peacefulness of nature.
