My husband and I fell in love with the Tetons the summer of 2010. On a whim we flew in early to Jackson and hiked up to Inspiration Point through Cascade Canyon Trail and then hiked back down around Jenny Lake. It was a moment on Cascade Canyon Trail the spirit of the mountains called out my name. Since that summer we have been to several national parks out West, but the Tetons call out my name every year and I go, where nature heals my soul and gives strength to my body. Going to the Tetons is going home.

This spectacular destination preserves a dramatic stretch of the Teton Range bordering the Snake River. One of the unusual features of these distinctive mountains is the absence of foothills, meaning that there are no smaller mountains blocking the view. The park also features glacier-carved lakes, a historic district of weathered buildings made by 19th century Mormon homesteaders, and an abundance of wildlife large and small, including nearly 1,000 bison that roam the grassy fields in herds.
