We have the good fortune to be among the Park partners in the restoration of this charming Swedish Farmstead property in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. The Indiana Dunes is known for its vast sand dunes and lakeshore, but it is also the home to incredible bogs, forests, wetlands and historic settlements. This house started its life as a hewn oak log cabin in the early settlement of the dunes. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is just 35 miles from Chicago’s city limits and accessible by road, rail, bike and water. We love it – you will too!
Sincerely,
Indiana Dunes National Park
An urban oasis just 35 miles outside of Chicago, this park includes more than 15,000 acres of sensitive dune lands, bird-filled marshes, oak and maple forests, and remnants of once-vast prairies.
