Greetings from Grand Canyon National Park

The best vacation that my family ever took was in 1993, when our 3 daughters were aged 18, 13, and 10, respectively. We named the trip our “Great Gaping Holes In The Earth Tour” because we started out from southern California and visited Meteor Crater, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Hoover Dam and Las Vegas (a great gaping hole in our pocketbooks!) and, finally, Sequoia National Park and its caves. Wonderful, beautiful, unforgettable….. my most cherished family memory! We need our national parks to nurture a love of nature and of all living things! All three of my daughters, now grown, work with “green causes”, as Sierra Club volunteers, as wildlife sanctuary volunteers, as manager of a “green” resources company, and as a student of exotic animal management, to name some of the jobs that they do. And my grandchildren are now learning to love the outdoors, hiking, camping, bird watching….. please keep our national parks safe for future generations to enjoy!

Sincerely,
Julie
