Greetings from Grand Teton National Park

A winter trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone allowed us to see these unique parks with the crowds gone and their splendor revealed in a different season. An early morning trip brought us to the Tetons as the sun cast its glow upon these jagged peaks. I will never forget the colors sparkling upon the snow in the valley with a backdrop that was sheer magnificence. I felt deep gratitude to those who had the vision and foresight and planning to save these magnificent treasures for all posterity.

Sincerely,
Nancy

Grand Teton National Park

This spectacular destination preserves a dramatic stretch of the Teton Range bordering the Snake River. One of the unusual features of these distinctive mountains is the absence of foothills, meaning that there are no smaller mountains blocking the view. The park also features glacier-carved lakes, a historic district of weathered buildings made by 19th century Mormon homesteaders, and an abundance of wildlife large and small, including nearly 1,000 bison that roam the grassy fields in herds.

State(s): Wyoming

Established: 1929

“They hold treasures that cannot be replaced in history, time or place. They should not be casually destroyed, ignored or relegated to unimportance. They are our country's very soul !!!”
