Bob and I exited off the interstate to drive miles to go to Lincoln’s Kentucky home, which turned out to be a replica and only in the general vicinity of the famous president’s birthplace. However, there was a museum, art work, a sculpture of the family and an introductory video.
The grounds are well tended, grassy, and the rangers are knowledgeable about history. The Lincoln’s source of water is preserved here as well.

Explore Abraham Lincoln's humble beginnings by visiting the remnants of two farm sites where Lincoln was born and lived until he was seven. Visitors can see a log cabin similar to Lincoln’s first home and stroll several hiking trails imagining what Lincoln’s childhood was like.
