Greetings from Great Smoky Mountains National Park

My sons first vacation ever was to visit the great smokey mountains national park. He was three at the time. When my mom passed a few years ago we passed through the smokeys again. What a great comfort they were. The beauty there is also beyond belief. All my vacations as a child involved national parks. The Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, getting stuck halfway up pikes peak. My sister running into a bear in the smokeys. So many great memories. This years vacation (next week in fact) we have reservation in the smokeys again. The national parks should never be part of a government shut down. Not just for those planning vacations there but for those millions whose lively hood depend on the parks being open to the public. Our national parks are the best of the best our country has to offer and should be exempt from being shut down. Please reopen our parks.

Sincerely,
Cinde
