Greetings from Grand Canyon National Park

My story is about the glorious wedding held in Grand Canyon National Park by my grandson and his lovely bride a few years ago.

We all gathered at the reserved section, overlooking the canyon about the time the sun was setting. Picture perfect, as it was described by the photographer who had been assigned that wonderful and happy task, as the best place of all places, that sunny and gorgeous day in October. We gathered round the bride and groom, after her golden entrance, to participate in the event of their lifetime, and ours.. Vows were said, rings exchanged, stones we all brought were placed in the glass vase as a visual verification of their special day with their special friends in attendance. Tears were falling, kisses exchanged, hugs and concern for another’s safety were expressed. We gasped and felt concerned when they ventured nearer and nearer to the edge of the canyon, intent upon getting another special shot of that wondrous setting. When they sat on the very edge of several, we had to almost look away in fear of their safety on such a perilous perch! Their faces reflected and beamed with excitement with love for each other and their exhilaration in God’s place on earth. We continued to be careful of our steps also as the sun continued setting into shades of a golden glow, casting its brilliance into the canyon below. In thankful prayer, we departed to go to the reception in all its beauty right on the grounds nearby. That entrance was also very beautiful with cakes, and candles everywhere it seemed. The reception at the facility, who handled the arrangements with great ease and aplomb, caused everyone to stop and stare in awe as we joined the happy bride and delirious groom.

Our evening was indeed one of a kind and one we shall never forget.

Perfect place, perfect weather, fantastic accommodations made it possible for all to thoroughly enjoy and treasure forever.

We all felt so very special to be there in that wonderful place with love all around and also a few large animals greeting us as we departed for our respective rooms.

Grand Canyon is indeed GRAND!!!

Sincerely,
Joyce

“I will always support and love going to the many wonderful National Parks that are available to everyone for a very nominal fee. I have in fact, the lifetime card I use each time I enter, making it such a treasure, I always carry it with me so I can save money too. ”
