My research group and I collected data on water quality from many sites along our backpacking route, including this outflow of Upper Cathedral Lake. Here, we stopped to observe the presence of macroinvertebrates in the water, and we found a whole world of small, fascinating creatures. I felt truly privileged to immerse myself in such a beautiful place.
