I have visited 49 national parks so far and all 49 I can tell a special story about. Not being into crowds, Alaska’s Wrangell-St. Elias is easily my favorite with 10 of the 13 highest peaks in the U.S. located inside this park. Being the largest of the current 60 national parks, Wrangell-St. Elias has so much unspoiled beauty to offer. A 10 out of 10 on the WOW meter, this place is special. Pictured is 16,390 ft. Mt. Blackburn with Kennicott Glacier below, the serenity of this place with the many glaciers, volcanic peaks, rivers, clean air, & wildlife. It is always a great place for me to relax, reconnect with nature, the wilderness, hike, & just enjoy the moment. Places like this is why I support the national park service & the NPCA.

Covering more than 13 million acres of land, Wrangell-St. Elias is the largest national park site and the largest single wilderness area in the United States. Its massive glaciers, twisting rivers, rugged mountains and forested uplands are home to diverse wildlife, from grizzly bears and caribou to marmots and beavers. It’s also a land of extremes, with nine of North America's 16 highest mountains, the continent's largest subpolar ice field and a glacier larger than the state of Delaware. The park also encompasses an active volcano and a historic copper mine.
