My name is Mike and I am a medically retired combat veteran living in the Pacific Northwest. Riding my Harley and spending time on the Mountain are two things that help me reconnect and recenter. It was here I got the idea to ride to 22 national parks in 22 days next summer to raise awareness about the veteran suicide problem. It will also highlight how these parks help veterans reconnect when they come home.

Majestic Mount Rainier is the highest peak in the Cascade Range and an active volcano with more glaciers than any other mountain in the United States. Just an hour's drive from Seattle, the park's wild landscape feels much further from civilization. The forests, parkland, wetlands, lakes and rivers offer 260 miles of trails and varied habitat to dozens of plant and animal species.
