The 100 Year Old Treasure
A century has past, and the treasure has grown, Season after season, as the winds have blown. Through these years, the parks have spoken, The legacy of the treasure can never be broken. They welcome all, with an open door, Yours to discover, yours to explore. History and culture, the wild and free, So much to do, so much to see. The mountains, the deserts, the rivers so wide, They dare us to visit, they lure us outside. The treasure only asks, that its bounty you share, With respect and stewardship and forever care. Our children have found the treasure each time, With a fun selfie, a tour or a mountain to climb. To watch a bison graze, or an eagle soar, To hear a tanager sing, there’s so much more. These special places inspire us, and allowed us to dream, To work together as a preservation team. We know challenges lie ahead, with some behind, But if it’s a treasure you seek, in our National Parks you will find!
Sincerely,
