Greetings from Glacier National Park

We are from Maine and my husband and I just did a celebratory (that he didn’t have cancer) trip to the NorthWest these past few weeks. We saw our beautiful country in an amazing array of some national and state parks! — Mt. St. Helens, Glacier National Park, Theodore Roosevelt National Parks, Lewis and Clark State Parks, and many more. Each park was special and I’m so grateful that our citizens and government see fit to maintain them for all generations. Thank you. I implore the government to keep funding them so our future generations in our great-great-great-great grandchildren will also see them. The areas surrounding parks appear to be doing well via thriving on folks visiting the parks. Plus it’s a way to keep some of our country not covered in asphalt.
In Maine we’re fortunate to have the Acadia National Park on the coast at Bar Harbor, Maine. We’d also like to create in northwestern Maine the Maine North Woods and part of Moosehead Lake area as a national park or at least a national forest to preserve some of that habitat and land for now and the future! Thank you.

Sincerely,
Patti Ashland
