The Moundbuilders and their mysteries captured my imagination as a child growing up in Ohio… so much so that I grew up to be an archaeologist! Today, I continue to share my passion and the stories of those who came before us on this continent with my students. There are so many National Parks that interpret prehistoric Native American stories: from the Moundbuilders to the Cliff-Dwellers, to Desert horticulturalists, to Pacific seafarers… what remains of these voice-less cultures needs preserved and protected!
