My wife and I visited Yellowstone NP again after many years and four children. I think it so sad that our parks are in desperate need of more funding for personnel and maintenance. We really need to keep the legacy alive and well for our children and grandchildren. In Michigan we are fortunate to have Sleeping Bear, Pictured Rocks and Isle Royale NPs. Our NP system needs all the support and help we can give as individuals and organizations. Many thanks to the people who are administering and preserving these beautiful areas for us.

Yellowstone National Park
America's first national park is named after the river that runs through it. Within the park's massive boundaries, visitors can find mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and some of the most concentrated geothermal activity in the world. The park has 60% of the world’s geysers, as well as hot springs and mud pots. It is also home to diverse wildlife with the largest concentration of mammals in the Lower 48 states, including grizzly bears, wolves, bison and elk.
