We visited Rocky Mountain National Park during July 4th long weekend. This was first USA road trip for my wife. We started from Lubbock, TX and drove 9 hours to reach the park. Rocky Mountain National Park has numerous scenic trails, drives and view points. The picture behind is of Dream Lake which is about 1.1 miles hike from Bear Lake point. After visiting dream lake, we drove on trail ridge road which is fabulous and thrilling as it takes you up to 12000 ft above sea level. The views are simply amazing. We saw Beaver at a viewpoint on Trail Ridge road and a herd of Deer during our descent. For people visiting Rocky mountains I would advice carry plenty of water as some trails could be exhausting. Rocky mountains national Park is worth it!!
Sincerely,
Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National park offers breathtaking views of the spectacular Rocky Mountain range, with 60 peaks over 12,000 feet, small permanent glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, and historic and cultural treasures including ancient trails, game drives, cattle ranches and lodges. This park’s rugged landscapes harbor hundreds of high-elevation plant and animal species — some that are increasingly rare outside the park or are found nowhere else. Some of the park’s human-made structures speak to the boom-and-bust cycles and neverending search for adequate water supplies that characterized the nation’s westward expansion.
