Around 15,000 years ago, during an Ice Age, an episode of glaciation on the North American continent left a 1,200 mile trace of landscapes shaped by glacial activity that included kames, eskers, and kettles. The Ice Age National Scenic Trail, in Wisconsin, follows this trace for the full 1,200 miles.
