As the senior manager of corporate partnerships and cause marketing, Abbey strategizes, collaborates with and stewards partners from end to end to create compelling, engaging campaigns in support of NPCA’s mission.
Prior to joining NPCA in 2021, Abbey worked for Parks Project as brand manager where she was responsible for helping shape and communicate the brand’s vision and mission and worked with its over 40 nonprofit partners and numerous brand partners to support marketing campaigns, digital activations and collaborations. In addition, Abbey was a content producer at the Getty Research Institute from 2018 to 2020 where she worked with museum curators and staff to create compelling content for use on social media and the web.
Now based in Los Angeles, Abbey previously lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she received her PhD in English and taught rhetoric and writing for 4 years; she was also a recipient of the Russel J. and Dorothy S. Bilinski Fellowship for top doctoral students.
A native Midwesterner, Abbey’s move to the west came with a newfound love of the desert and mountainous landscapes found within it, counting Arches National Park and Glacier National Park as two of her favorites. In her free time, Abbey enjoys long distance backpacking, traveling in her van and rock climbing.
