- NPCA Region: Southwest
Born and raised in Utah, Cassidy comes to NPCA with an inborn interest in parks, public lands, and political-cultural conflict.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Westminster College (UT) where she researched literary perspectives on Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and she holds a Master of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from the University of Utah where she studied National Park Service urban engagement in urban-proximate parks. Cassidy draws on experiences with NPS as a graduate research assistant working on urban youth engagement strategies in Salt Lake City, as an interpretive ranger managing youth and night skies programs at Timpanogos Cave National Monument (UT), and as an intern in visitor services and education at John F. Kennedy National Historic Site (MA). Cassidy loves slickrock, snow, and sleeping under dark skies.
