- NPCA Region: Southwest
Cory’s focus as associate director in the Southwest region is primarily on issues concerning the national parks in Utah.
She specializes in stakeholder collaboration, particularly with gateway communities, to identify opportunities and creative solutions to threats facing our parks. Cory’s deep commitment to conservation and love of national parks has grown from many years of working with the National Park Service (NPS). From her first job at Isle Royale National Park post-college, to her several years conducting wildlife research in multiple NPS units, Cory has remained a park advocate. She’s dedicated the past 11 years to fighting for park protection – first in northern Minnesota for Voyageurs National Park Association and now with NPCA in Utah. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin and a Master of Science degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Minnesota.
