Nicole is a second term member of NPCA’s Next Generation Advisory Council.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Education and Interpretation from The Ohio State University in 2011. For the past decade, she has worked for various environmental non-profit organizations throughout Ohio as an informal environmental educator. Nicole is interested in connecting communities of color to nature in more engaging, inclusive, and equitable ways.
In 2020, Nicole helped co-organize Black Birders Week and went on to create Black in National Parks Week to highlight experiences and stories of Black national park visitors. In her spare time, Nicole likes to visit regional parks where she usually enjoys birding, hiking and nature photography.
