Climate scientists, biologists and political leaders agree that protecting 30% of our lands and waters by the year 2030 will prevent many of the worst impacts on our parks — like species extinction, land loss and climate change.
Congress now has the opportunity to approve a resolution that would put the United States on a responsible course for meeting these goals.
This “30 by 30” plan recognizes what park advocates have been saying for years: Connected, protected landscapes with clean water and air are good for wildlife, good for people, and good for the planet.
