In just a few weeks, NPCA will hit an incredible milestone — 100 years of national parks advocacy. In 1919, NPCA began a century of national park protection by stemming the slaughter of the elk population and defeating a proposed dam on the Yellowstone River in the world’s first national park.

Will you join us in this celebration? You can do so by helping create NPCA’s Centennial Celebration Cocktail featuring their Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon!
From May 1 to May 31, NPCA and Limestone Branch Distillery invite you to submit a delicious national park-themed cocktail recipe using Yellowstone Select. Recipe submissions will be evaluated by NPCA and Limestone Branch Distillery’s founder and head distiller, Steve Beam, for taste, use of ingredients, and the creativity of the cocktail’s name. The chosen recipe will be featured for the remainder of 2019 as NPCA’s official Centennial Cocktail, and the person who submits the chosen recipe will receive a one-year membership or membership extension to NPCA.
Announced June 12: NPCA’s Centennial Celebration Cocktail: Yellowstone, Yellowstone

Inspired by the simple unrelenting year-round beauty of our first national park.
To make:
- 2 oz. Yellowstone bourbon
- 3 frozen ginger ale ice cubes
- 1 or 2 dashes of Angostura bitter
- 1 long spiral of lemon peel (zest)
In an Old Fashioned glass, pour Yellowstone bourbon directly over “Yellowstone” ice cubes. Stir gently. Garnish with lemon zest and add dashes of bitters to taste. Enjoy the everlasting beauty of Yellowstone!

Limestone Branch Distillery has partnered with NPCA since 2018 to encourage consumers to help preserve and protect national parks. From May 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019, Limestone Branch Distillery will donate to NPCA $1 for each bottle of Yellowstone Select sold, up to $30,000, to help support NPCA’s work across the country. First created in 1872, Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon was established the same year as its namesake national park.
