Greetings from Kings Canyon National Park

For many years, the Evolution Valley on the John Muir Trail has been on my bucket list. This summer I was finally able to put it together… a 57 mile loop trip from North Lake to South Lake via Evolution Valley. In order to do this in the five days we had allotted, we would have to hike an average of 11 miles per day with full packs. It was really hard… but the fuse-box blowing scenery from beginning to end was worth every blister and sore muscle. From jagged peaks to waterfalls to granite slabs and high passes, this hike has it all. Will never forget the incredible alpenglow on our last night out, in Dusy Basin.

Sincerely,
David
