Greetings from Crater Lake National Park

Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States, and the second deepest lake in North America. It was created when Mount Mazama collapsed in 5,700 B.C.E. It is in the lore of Native Americans, who witnessed the collapse of the mountain. The lake is filled by direct precipitation from either rain or snow fall. The national park has 50,000 acres of old-growth forest.

Sincerely,
Tim
