• Daniel Howe Daniel Howe is a writer, consultant and part-time professor in the Landscape Architecture Department in the College of Design at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. His many national park experiences include thru-hiking the 2,193-mile Appalachian Trail and cycling the length of the 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway. Howe currently serves on the board of directors of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
• Ray Rast, Ph.D. Ray Rast, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of History at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, where he teaches courses in U.S. history, the history of the American West, American Latina/o history, and public history. He is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for Latinos in Heritage Conservation.
• Staff Graham Taylor Program Manager, Northwest Region Joining the Northwest Regional Office in the summer of 2015, Graham stays busy connecting people to parks in his role as Field Representative.
• Staff and Media Personnel Angela Gonzales Associate Director, Communications Angela joined NPCA in October 2017 and is an Associate Director of Communications. She currently manages outreach and communications for the Government Affairs team and Conservation Programs. Previously, Angela managed the communication efforts for the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Texas regions and assisted with NPCA’s social media outreach.
• Staff Betsy Buffington Regional Director Betsy Buffington, a longtime conservation partner and ally, is regional director of the Northern Rockies Regional Office, overseeing our work in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and Idaho.
